Privacy at BelleVie London
At The BelleVie London Ltd, your trust matters. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you browse belleviecomfort.com, place an order, contact our team or interact with our emails and advertising. We are the controller of personal information we use for our own business purposes. Shopify and other providers may process information on our behalf, or act as independent controllers for certain services.
Who we are and how to contact us
Business: The BelleVie London Ltd (trading as BelleVie London). Contact for privacy requests: hello@the-bellevie.shop. General order support: support@the-bellevie.shop. Business correspondence: 13 Freeland Park, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, England, BH16 6FH, United Kingdom.
What information we collect
- Information you provide: name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, account information, order history, sizing or product choices, return requests and messages to customer support.
- Transactions: payment status, order totals and transaction references. Payment providers handle payment card information as part of checkout; we do not need your complete card details to fulfil an order.
- Website and device information: browser and device details, IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages visited, shopping basket activity, cookie identifiers and interactions with our online store.
- Information from service providers: delivery status from couriers and fulfilment partners, payment confirmations, account-service information and advertising or analytics reports, where those services are enabled.
Please do not send medical records, diagnoses or other sensitive personal information in ordinary customer-service messages. If you voluntarily disclose sensitive information to us, we will handle it only as necessary and in accordance with applicable law.
Why we use information and our lawful bases
- Processing and delivering orders, taking payments, handling enquiries and organising returns: necessary to fulfil a contract with you or take steps you request before buying.
- Accounting, tax, record keeping and compliance: compliance with legal obligations.
- Fraud prevention, website security, customer care and service improvement: our legitimate interests in operating and protecting a reliable shop, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Optional email marketing: your consent where legally required or another lawful basis permitted by applicable direct-marketing rules. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Non-essential analytics, advertising cookies and similar technologies: consent where required by law. Where a different lawful basis is permitted, we assess and document that basis for the relevant activity. We do not use a privacy policy as a substitute for consent when consent is required.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Essential cookies allow the storefront, basket, checkout, account and security functions to operate. With appropriate permissions and settings, we may use analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok to understand website activity and measure advertising. These partners may receive online identifiers, device details and website interactions where the relevant integration and privacy settings allow. Your privacy choices and applicable law determine how optional technologies are used.
Where consent is legally required, you should be offered a way to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can also manage cookies in your browser. Read Shopify’s information about store cookies and visit Your Privacy Choices to exercise relevant advertising or data-sharing choices. An opt-out preference or Global Privacy Control signal will be handled as required by applicable law and supported platform functionality.
Who receives personal information
We share information as reasonably required with Shopify (store hosting and checkout), payment processors, warehouse and delivery providers, customer-support and tracking applications, IT and cloud providers, and analytics or advertising providers when configured. We may also disclose information where required by law or as part of a lawful business transfer. Each recipient’s use of information depends on its role and agreement with us. A transfer for cross-site advertising can count as “sharing” or “selling” under some privacy laws even if no money changes hands, and relevant opt-out rights may apply.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including order support, financial records, lawful record-retention requirements, fraud prevention and dispute resolution. We use appropriate organisational and technical measures, but no online system is completely risk-free.
International processing
We are a UK business using international commerce and technology providers. Information may be accessed, stored or processed outside your country, including the UK or European Economic Area. Where an international transfer is legally restricted, we use an applicable adequacy arrangement, contractual safeguard or other permitted transfer mechanism.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer personal information, object to certain uses (including direct marketing), withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. For the UK, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). For EEA residents, you may contact the competent local supervisory authority.
Contact hello@the-bellevie.shop with your request. We may verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may unsubscribe from marketing using the link in any marketing email. You can also visit Your Privacy Choices.
Children and external websites
Our website is not intended for children to place orders independently. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, contact us so we can assess the request. Our website may link to social media or external services with their own privacy terms; please review those terms when visiting them.
Updates
We may update this notice when our practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The version published here and its last-updated date will reflect any revision.
